Clarkston Dix Plaza is an 8,240 SF retail development in Clarkston, MI. The Plaza sits on a former gas station lot at the intersection of M-15 and Dixie Highway.

The plaza is home to Crispelli’s Pizzaria, Great Clips, T-Mobile and Jersey Mike’s.

The Challenges

UTILITIES: The lot for Clarkston Dix Plaza was previously a gas station. In addition to the extensive demolition, properly locating the utilities in relation to the building plans proved to be a challenge.

RETAIL SPACE: Once the building was constructed, dividing the retail space was an issue because of the building’s unique diamond shape.

Problems Solved

UTILITIES: To locate the utilities, Snyder Construction worked closely with the Township of Independence, who is the permitting agency for Clarkston, MI, as well as the utility companies. Our superintendent was vigilant and resolved any issues regarding the utility location and building plans.

RETAIL SPACE: Snyder Construction has a great relationship with Clarkston Dix Properties, LLC and was happy to assist in the division of the retail spaces to ensure optimal space for the retail client, while maintaining the building’s structural integrity.
