Project Description

Client:   Hobby Lobby
Location:   Cadillac, MI
Year Completed: 2018
Value: $2,500,000
Architect:  Robert Michael Hughes Architect

The Hobby Lobby in Cadillac, MI was a ground-up project built starting in September 2017 and into the early part of winter 2018. The 50,323 SF store was welcomed by local residents, who felt their local shopping choices were rather limited.

The Challenges

Snyder Construction’s project team had an aggressive schedule to follow for this Hobby Lobby. Cadillac, MI is known for its harsh, snow-covered winters. In order to avoid costly winter conditions, the team set a goal of having this 50,000+ SF ground-up building up and roofed in within 60 days and fully completed in 120 days.

Problems Solved

Snyder Construction’s Project Superintendent communicated to all trades what the timeline goals would be and how challenging it would be to meet them. This team effort incited everyone to work as hard as they could, which they did, meeting all their date targets without going over budget.
