The La-Z-Boy Home Furnishings & Decor in Lake Orion, MI is a 15,829 SF store that was built from the ground-up. The showroom features beautiful furniture and decor to furnish every room in a home, plus a custom design center with professional Interior Designers.
Snyder Construction finished this beautiful store that will serve as a prototype for the Michigan-based brand’s future Home Furnishings & Decor showrooms in Spring 2020.
The Challenges
The site-work portion of the La-Z-Boy project, located on Baldwin Road in Lake Orion, coincided with the Baldwin Road multi-year road project. The road construction meant that any as-builts of the underground utilities were not necessarily updated and required extra care from Snyder’s Project Superintendent and our Site-work Contractor.
Problems Solved
Snyder Construction’s project team worked closely with officials from the Township of Orion, the Township’s civil engineers and the Oakland County Road Commission to ensure the safety of everyone on the job-site and surrounding areas, while making progress on the work at hand. Their diligence proved worthwhile when the site was complete and the building shell was ready to build.
