Project Description
Client: Lucky’s Market
Location: Cleveland, OH
Year Completed: 2018
Value: $3,400,000
Architect: WD Partners
The Lucky’s Market in Cleveland, OH was a ground-up building in a newly developed retail shopping area. The 22,020 SF grocery store was built in during the winter of 2017-2018 for a May 2018 grand opening.
In addition to the building, Snyder performed site-work, which included winter conditions; construction of the building shell; and all trades to complete the building, including refrigeration.
The Challenges
The Cleveland Lucky’s Market was slated for a spring 2018 opening. Being a ground-up project, this meant site-work began in the late fall and construction would take place over the entire winter. Our project team was focused on getting the site work handled efficiently so the building would be enclosed before hard winter began in this area of the Lake Erie snow belt.
Problems Solved
The Snyder Construction project team is based in Michigan and very comfortable with site work, even with cold weather, snow and ice. Our project superintendent was on-site full time. His nearly 40 years of construction experience ensured the project stayed true to the projected schedule and budget.
